This process often need a lot of time, because each part of the sculpture dries and get the right consistency at its own speed, and it has to be delt with at the proper time.
Consequently, I usually work on several sculptures in parallel for weeks.
... and weld it with a colombin, before ending the final shaping.
Then I past back the pieces with some barbonttine...
My sculpture are generally rather big, and necessitate to be emptied before drying and firing.
Otherwise, they would surely expode in the kiln during the firing.
Back to my workshop, it is time to create the sculpture from the comp, or to shape the draft after the right time to get the proper consistency.
The exact posture is not completely known at this step.
In fact the sculpture itself will decide what position finally will be.
